Lone Star Community Radio Announces Prairie Magic Audio Book Release Launch Party, Conroe, Texas October 4

Event includes Q&A with author and narrator, and live music by Buck Yeager.

Conroe, Texas – September 10, 2019

Lone Star Community Radio DJ Rick Sellers invites the Houston community to the Prairie Magic Audiobook Release Launch Party in Conroe, TX, Friday, October 4th.

The event venue is Lone Star Community Radio, 208 N. Main Street, Conroe, TX. 77301, Oct. 4th, from 6 to 9 pm. The party features a Q&A session with Prairie Magic author, Joan Kristin Haugan of Sturgis, SD, and narrator Rick Sellers, Conroe-area radio personality, artist, and actor.

Tickets are $10 and are available at www.prairiemagic.com or at the door.  Ticket price includes tarot card readings, rune stone message interpretation, essential oil sampling, juice tasting, live music, beer/wine and light refreshments, and door prizes. $10 ticket price is redeemable toward the purchase of a Prairie Magic AudioDrama ($15 after rebate).

Attendees are offered an opportunity to participate in an audiobook voice recording for Rebel, the next installment of the series. Extra auditions will be held for the characters of a Hispanic child, choir singers, and adventure seekers. The audio recordings will be 3 minutes each, and all auditioning will receive a free copy of their recording . Scheduling to be held at event.

Prairie Magic AudioDrama is an 11-hour and 11-minute audio book and includes multiple character voices, dozens of sound effects and the music of Buck Yeager, Texas Singer Songwriter of the Year 2016, who will perform live at this event.

Prairie Magic, the first of 4 visionary fiction novels of the award-winning Adventure Seekers Saga, chronicles the Hanson and Good Elk families through mystery and intrigue as they struggle for a better future for their families and beloved town of Buffalo Grass, SD.

Prairie Magic author Joan Kristin Haugan is a master of Tarot cards, Rune stones, and Reiki energy healing. She has extensively studied and practiced the use, application, and healing properties of essential oils. 

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines, and a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Dakota.

Joan and her husband Jubal, own and operate J&J Optical and the Sturgis Hitchin' Post in Sturgis, South Dakota.

He is an actor/radio personality. He lives with his wife, Sherry and their 2 dogs, Chance and Mr. Magoo in Texas on Lake Conroe. His show, Afternoons with LoneStar provides local musicians and artists an on-air voice in addition to playing great Classic Rock and more. He has a son, Colin and step-daughters, Wendi and Megan and grandchildren Charlie, Teagan and Liam. Rick grew up surfing in Laguna Beach, So. California in the 60's and 70's instilling a thirst for alternative knowledge and wisdom. He is excited and honored to be the voice of Joan's amazing series.
