Rebel ~  Survivors, Sages and Spirited Steeds on eBook and Kindle

Sturgis, SD ~ July 14th, 2020

Joan Kristin Haugan, author and equestrian, announces the release of Rebel ~  Survivors, Sages and Spirited Steeds on eBook and Kindle.

Rebel is the second book in the 4-part award-winning Adventure Seekers Saga including Prairie Magic, A Fork in the Road, and Scorpio. The horse-infused books are set in South Dakota’s Black Hills. Series’ protagonist.Takada Good Elk, world famous horseman and author, teaches that horses are our teachers in the tale that chronicles the Hanson and Good Elk families’ struggles and triumphs.

“Chances are if you’ve spent time with horses you’ve known an equine “rebel” or two.  As esteemed horsewoman Lendon Gray so eloquently stated, ‘It’s the difficult ones that have the most to give to you,’ “ noted Haugan. “The Rebel book’s storyline is full of horse wisdom, lessons, and humor that horse lovers will enjoy.”

Author Joan Kristin Haugan is a lifelong equestrian and possesses a deep reverence for South Dakota’s Black Hills, her lifelong home. She was raised on a horse ranch where she learned from many horse “teachers”.  She and her equine partners have won local and national accolades in the United States Dressage Federation (USEF) and breed show competitions.

She graduated from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a Geological Engineering bachelor’s degree and earned a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Dakota. She and her husband own and operate J & J Optical and Sturgis Hitchin’ Post in Sturgis, SD.

“This book teaches the reader that life is a divine gift and that if we listen to the rebel in all of us, we can do whatever we want when love is the seed.” ~ Rebel 5-star review
